Davao City – Daku ang mamahimong ikatabang sa gimuntar nga Hyperbaric Chamber diin usa ang scuba diving sa ginapromotar karon nga outdoor activities dinhi sa Davao Region.
Segun ni Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) Director Leopoldo Vega aduna nay kapasidad ang dakbayan sa Davao nga mutunol og atensyong medikal ngadto sa lokal o mga turista nga makahiagom og decompression sickness o bends atol sa mga diving accidents.
“For divers to have a Hyperbaric Chamber around is a safety on their end whether there is an accident or no accident it means that if DOT promotes diving as a recreational and for tourism we must be able to back-up safety measures,” matud ni Vega.
Matud ni Vega dili lamang mga divers apan lakip na mga mangingisda ug mga sundalo nga adunay ‘difficult wounds’ o samad nga dugay na nga wala naayo matambalan pinaagi sa maong bag-ong pasilidad.
Gilaraw usab ni Vega nga makigkoordinar ang SPMC Hyperbaric Chamber sa Central 911 aron daling marespondehan ang mga nanginahanglan og hinanaling atensyon.
“If there are diving accidents around in the area of the Davao Gulf , 911 can pick them up either through a boat or a chopper and they can be send over here because we will operate this 24/7,” segun ni Vega.
Matud ni Vega kasamtangang ginahuman pa ang maong gambalay ug ablihan kini sa publiko puhon.
“Let’s give it maximum of 3 months because we need to hire people and train them for the use of Hyperbaric,”
Mao kini ang naginusara ingon man pinakaunang natukod nga Hyperbaric Chamber dinhi sa Mindanao sumala ni Vega.
