Starkey Foundation to give out 1,000 free hearing aids in Bacolod

The Starkey Hearing Foundation (SHF) will give out 1,000 free hearing aids during their hearing mission in Bacolod City on November 10-11.

This was disclosed by SHF-Philippines country coordinator Aisa Rafanan and SHF- Philippines Hearing Care coordinator Lovella Bastillada to the Public Information Office (PIO) during their courtesy visit to the Bacolod City Government Center today [August 22].

They were received by Councilor Ann Marie Palermo, who represented Mayor Evelio Leonardia, at the City Mayor’s Office.


Joining Palermo were Executive Assistant Butch Soliguen, Dr. Ma. Luz Maapni of the City Health Office; Kristel Develos, technical assistant of Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran; and Robert Jan Torres, technical assistant of Councilor Cindy Rojas, chair of the Committee on Health.

Rafanan and Bastillada made a presentation on their foundation and projects.

They said SHF founder William Austin and their US team will grace the Bacolod hearing mission. The venue of the activity will be announced soon.

SHF had conducted a similar activity in Bacolod in 2015 and continued to provide aftercare services to their beneficiaries.*/CITY PIO
