Inilunsad ng LandBank of the Philippines ang “Study Now, Pay Later” program nito na layong matulungan ang mga mag-aaral mula sa mga pribadong eskwelahan na maipagpatuloy ang kanilang pag-aaral sa gitna ng krisis sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Land Bank Assistant Vice President Generoso ‘Gene’ David, tatlong bilyong piso ang inilaang pondo ng Landbank para sa Access to Academic Development to Empower athe Masses towards Endless Opportunities (ACADEME) Lending Program nito.
Sa ilalim nito, maaaring humiram ang mga sumusunod:
– mga private high school na may permit to operate mula sa DEPED
– private vocational at technical training institutions na pinangangasiwaan ng TESDA
– Private Higher Education Institutions tulad ng mga kolehiyo at unibersidad na may undergraduate programs na otorisado ng CHED at accredited ng Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU); Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities’ Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA); Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities Accrediting Association Inc. (ACSCU-AAI) at Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP)
Ang mga magulang o guardian naman ng mga estudyante na manghihiram sa mga paaralang nag-loan sa LandBank ay kinakailangan lang magpakita ng promissory note bilang loan requirement.
Magpapataw ang LandBank ng 3% fixed interest rate per annum sa loan na maaaring bayaran sa loob ng tatlong taon.
