* Uses *- No reported folkloric medicinal use in the Philippines. – In the Caribbean, one species is used as a hallucinogenic beverage. – Also used to treat fever, coughs, colds, and hair loss. – The Mishing tribe of Assam use the roots to treat pneumonia.
