Teen killed, buddy hurt in gun attack
An 18-year-old man was killed while his companion was wounded in a gun attack in Purok Makabibihag 2, barangay Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City last Thursday night.
The fatality was identified as Adonis Marlon Dacayan Boron, single and wounded was Juliever Anar Namocatcat, 16, both residents of the same place.
A report from the Police Regional Office 9 disclosed that around 9:10 p.m. the duo were having a drinking spree at Aquino Store when the gunman wearing a mask appeared and without any ado opened fire at them.
Witnesses told the police that the gunman hurriedly left the place after the two victims plunged on the ground bloodied.
The victims were rushed to a hospital but Boron was declared dead on arrival by the physicians after he sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body.
Namocatcat was confined in the hospital with two bullet wounds in the right leg.
Police investigators recovered two spent shells and a deformed slug of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene. – Dan Toribio
