Itinuturing ni Vice President Leni Robredo na “best legacy” ang kanyang anti-poverty program na Angat Buhay.
Sa kanyang talumpati sa 5th Asian Philantrophic Development Conference (APDC), umaasa si Robredo na ipagpapatuloy ito ng susunod na bise presidente at mapalawak pa ito ng ilang government agencies.
“My hope is that it is the legacy I left behind at the Office of the Vice President… I always tell my staff that would be the best legacy that we will leave behind,” sabi ni Robredo.
“Even before I was elected in Congress and as a VP, I have been doing similar things. Meaning to say, even without an elective position, I can still continue doing it,” dagdag pa ng bise presidente.
Layunin ng Angat Buhay na tulungan ang mga mahihirap at marginalized sectors ng lipunan partikular ang mga mangingisda, magsasaka, market vendors at iba pa sa pamamagitan ng pagsuporta sa kanilang kabuhayan.
Ang Office of the Vice President (OVP), sa pamamagitan ng Angat Buhay ay nakipag-partner na sa 330 organizations, at aabot sa ₱441.14 na halaga ng resources ang naipaabot sa 341,779 families at 221,122 individuals sa 381 komunidad sa buong bansa.
