Naglaan ng 10 billion pesos ang LANDBANK of the Philippines para sa mga programa at proyekto ng Local Government Units (LGUs) sa harap ng dagok na dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Ito ay tinawag nilang “RISE UP LGUs” o Restoration and Invigoration package for a Self-sufficient Economy towards UPgrowth for LGUs.
Sa ilalim ng RISE UP LGUs Lending Program, maaaring maka-avail ng loan ang provincial, city at municipal LGUs.
Ang naturang program ng Landbank ay inilunsad virtually ngayong araw kasabay ng regular meeting ng Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) na siyang umbrella organization ng lahat ng Leagues of LGUs at locally elected government officials sa bansa.
Ang nasabing virtual program ay pinangunahan nina LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia C. Borromeo at ULAP National President Government Dakila Carlo E. Cua, at nilahukan din ng ULAP member-Leagues at officers kasama sin League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) National President Governor Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr., League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) National President Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia ; at League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) National President Mayor Luis C. Singson.
