2 ‘world-class’ transport hubs to open in Iloilo City this year
Two “world-class” transport hubs will open in Iloilo City this year.
A total of P350 million has been alloted by property developer Megaworld Corp. for the construction of the transport hubs inside its P72-hectare township in Mandurriao district.
“We aim to provide world-class and convenient service in land transport for the local and international travelers in and out of Iloilo City,” said Jose Arnulfo Batac, head of Megaworld’s estate management.
The transport hubs will be composed of two 4,000-square meter terminals – one for departures and another for arrivals.
Each terminal will have an air-conditioned traveler’s lounge, which will house a ticketing booth, breastfeeding station, shower rooms and toilets.
The two WiFi-equipped terminals will also have their own food parks and 200 free parking slots at the second and third floors.
The transport hubs will cater to 106 premium point-to-point (P2P) buses, 365 taxis, and 165 modernized jeepneys, all are equipped with the auto-pay system.
Today, July 11, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-6) will launch three premium P2P bus service routes.

“All of our townships, especially those in urban centers, serve as convergence points of motorists and commuters. Thus, we integrate transport hubs in our developments to meet the transport needs of the local community,” said Batac
