2025 PCSO-PHILRACOM Silver Cup Spotlights Horse Racing Industry

MALVAR-TANAUAN, Batangas — The Philippine horse racing industry took center stage once again during the successful staging of the 2025 PCSO-PHILRACOM Silver Cup Racing held on July 27, 2025, at the Metro Manila Turf Club, Inc.

The prestigious event was graced by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles and Assistant General Manager for the Gaming Sector Atty. Lyssa Grace Pagano, who also chairs the Racing Committee. They were joined by PCSO officials and staff, showing full support for the advancement of horse racing in the country.

GM Robles, together with PHILRACOM Chairman Aurelio “Reli” De Leon and Commissioner Antonio “Tony” Guray, led the awarding of trophies and plaques to the winners.

Emerging as champion was the horse “Jungkook,” owned by Tisha Sevilla and represented by Aga Matias, who took home a prize of P2,400,000.00. Jockey Mark “The Black Superman” Alvarez and trainer Raymundo E. Mongaya were also honored for their outstanding performance.

Other winners included:
● Batang Manda – 2nd place, Php800,000.00
● Basheirrou – 3rd place, Php400,000.00
● Ghost – 4th place, Php200,000.00
● Istulen Ola – 5th place, Php120,000.00
● Sonic Clay – 6th place, Php80,000.00

In total, PCSO and PHILRACOM allocated a guaranteed gross prize of P4,000,000.00—underscoring their steadfast commitment to the growth and development of the horse racing industry, further amplified by the successful conduct of the 2025 Silver Cup Race.
