Healthcare: Bloodletting Activity @ RMN DZXL

“A blood donation by one person can save up to 4 lives,” shared by Dr. Christie Monina M. Nalupta, Director for National Blood Services of Philippine Red Cross, during the Bloodletting activity organized last Monday, April ,8, 2019, DZXL station.  After hearing this, who wouldn’t want to be a hero even for a day?

RMN Foundation, in partnership with Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and RMN DZXL station, organized a Blood drive in response to the needs of our kababayans which can  reache up to 1M blood units every year. ‘One of the basic services of PRC in the Blood Services, which works on providing the country with an adequate and safer blood supply from volunteer, non-renumerated blood donors.’ (Source: PRC)

Out of sixty (60) who were tested, 26 qualified to donate blood which translates to 11,700 cc/ml. RMNF, in its mission to reach out to as many Filipinos as it can, throughout the country, plans to replicate this in the areas where the stations of RMN Networks are located within the year.

The project was made possible with the help of Maynilad Water Services, Inc. and a generous individual for the food distributed to the donors and volunteers during the activity.

Indeed, this line proves right by giving a part of yourself, “Be a hero. Donate blood.”
