Sinagot ni Jimmy Bondoc ang maikling puna ng kapwa singer na si Agot Isidro sa pansamantalang pagpapatigil ng tulong-medikal ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
Sa Twitter noong Nob. 13, sinabi ni Isidro na hindi patas ang nasabing desisyon ng ahensya na nabuo matapos mabuking ang pamemeke ng dokumento ng isang mag-asawa para makakuha ng ayuda.
“This is not fair. Why punish everyone for the sins of a few? Marami ang nanga-ngailangan ng medical assistance. This is not right,” saad ng aktres sa ini-retweet niyang balita tungkol dito.
Umalma rito si Bondoc na kasalukuyang Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility Group ng PAGCOR.
Sa isang Facebook post noong Nob. 18, pinaliwanagan ng opisyal ang aniya’y “misinformed” na si Agot.
“First and foremost, due to the quick response of all concerned agencies, we are now receiving walk-in requests again, provided that they have been verified by the PCSO. This is not red tape, uunahan na kita,” ani ni Bondoc.
“This is based on many legal reasons. But like I said, I would rather keep it short. Feel free to read the PCSO and PAGCOR charters, which are available online,” dagdag niya.
Sa kanyang “ikalawang punto”, hiniling ni Bondoc na sana’y maging aktibo sa pamamahala ang mga gaya ni Isidro na inilarawan niyang “matalino at maimpluwensya”.
“Believe it or not, your opinions are very welcome,” aniya.
Hinamon ng opisyal ang aktres na magtrabaho sa gobyerno para maunawaan ang sistema rito.
Diretsahan namang sinabi ni Bondoc na mali ang karamihan sa komento ni Isidro, ngunit aniya, “but they are not wrong because you are stupid, contrary to what many of your critics say. I know you are smart.”
Kampante ang opisyal na wala raw alam si Agot sa mga mandato o resolusyon na nagdidikta ng kanilang tungkulin.
“Basta mo na lamang kaming hinusgahan. Which is fine. But you did not even think of the consequences that your statement could have created, had we not been quick enough to resume operations today,” saad ni Bondoc.
Sa huli ng mahabang post kung saan isinalaysay niya rin ang karanasan sa pagtatrabaho sa gobyerno, inulit ni Bondoc ang hamon kay Isidro.
“Sana talaga makapagtrabaho kayo sa gobyerno. In fact, I challenge you. I respectfully challenge you. If you accept, I will personally ask my bosses if we could endorse you to an office that you are qualified for. After a year, I am almost sure that you would be kinder, slower to anger and judgment, and perhaps, more enlightened as a human being,” aniya.
