P1.23 billion ang halaga ng confidential fund na ni-realign ng House of Representatives at inilipat sa mga ahensyang direktang nagbabantay sa West Philippine Sea at nagtataguyod sa seguridad ng buong bansa.
Unang inihayag ng Kamara na ang P1.05 billion dito ay tinanggal sa limang national agencies na kinabibilangan ng Office of the Vice President, Department of Education, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Foreign Affairs at Department of Agriculture.
Ayon kay Committee on Appropriations Senior Vice Chairperson at Marikina Representative Stella Quimbo, ang P187 million naman ay galing sa anim na ahensya na pinanatili ang Confidential funds pero binawasan.
Kasama ito ang Bureau of Customs at Office of the Presidential Adviser for Peace, Reconciliation and Unity na ang confidential funds ay ini-ayon sa halaga nito ngayong 2023 na P69.5 million at P54 million.
Tinapyasan din ang confidential funds ng Department of Justice’s Office of the Secretary, Office of the Solicitor General at Anti-Money Laundering Council.
Ibinaba naman sa P1-M ang para sa Office of the Ombudsman at naiwang halaga ay ipinaloob sa Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses nito.
