Nilinaw ng Department of Health (DOH) na ang Bicolanong nagkaroon ng Delta variant ay kasalukuyang nagtatrabaho sa Metro Manila, at hindi local case sa Bicol Region.
Sa statement, sinabi ng DOH Bicol Center for Health Development, ang 27-taong gulang na babaeng taga-Sorsogon ay matagal nang hindi nakakauwi ng Bicol nitong nagdaang tatlong taon.
Ang specimen ng pasyente ay ipinadala sa Lung Center of the Philippines sa Quezon City nitong June 25.
“The patient is a 27 year old female from Sorsogon who has neither travelled to Bicol for the last 3 years nor have been visited by someone from Bicol before getting sick. Hence the patient is not a local case of the Region,” ayon sa DOH Bicol CHD.
Panawagan ng DOH sa lahat na sundin ang minimum public health standards para mapigilan ang lahat ng mutation ng virus.
