The Department of Health Bicol reports sixteen (16) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases recorded in Bicol Region is now one hundred forty-six (146). Active cases are sixty (62).
Of the 16 cases, eleven (11) are from Camarines Sur and five (5) are from Sorsogon. Six (6) municipalities record their 1st confirmed case/s. Among the 16 new cases, eleven (11) are Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) while others are close contacts.
• Bicol#131 – a 20-year old Filipino female from Pili, Camarines Sur. She arrived on June 25, 2020 from Pasay City and is asymptomatic. She is also a close contact of Bicol#95. She is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine facility. Bicol#131 is a kitchen helper.
• Bicol#132 – a 68-year old Filipino female from Tinambac, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Antipolo on June 25, 2020 and is also a close contact of Bicol#95. She is asymptomatic and quarantined at an LGU Quarantine facility. Bicol#132 is a housewife.
• Bicol#133 – a 25-year old Filipino male from Presentacion, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Novaliches on June 25, 2020 and also a close contact of Bicol#95. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#133 is a vendor.
• Bicol#134 – a 38-year old Filipino male from Lagonoy, Camarines Sur. He arrived on June 25, 2020 from Antipolo. He is asymptomatic and quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#134 is a food server.
• Bicol#135 – a 27-year old Filipino female from Tinambac, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Mandaluyong on June 25, 2020 and is also a close contact of Bicol#95. She is asymptomatic and quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#135 is a housewife.
• Bicol#136 – a 36-year old Filipino male from Baao, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Quiapo on June 25, 2020 and had a contact with Bicol#95. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#136 is a house keeper.
• Bicol#137 – a 62-year old Filipino male from Naga City, Camarines Sur. His history of exposure or travel is for validation. He asymptomatic and is quarantined. Bicol#137 is a lending agent.
• Bicol#138 – a 25-year old Filipino male from Naga City, Camarines Sur. He had exposure to known COVID-19 cases. He first experience symptoms on July 1, 2020. He is quarantined. Bicol#138 is a delivery man.
• Bicol#139 – a 34-year old Filipino female from Canaman, Camarines Sur who is 6-months pregnant. She arrived from Quezon City on June 25, 2020 and is a close contact of Bicol#94 and Bicol#95. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#139 is a housewife.
• Bicol#140 – a 12-year old Filipino female from Canaman, Camarines Sur. She arrived from Quezon City on June 25, 2020 and is a close contact of Bicol#94 and Bicol#95. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
• Bicol#141 – a 10-year old Filipino male from Canaman, Camarines Sur. He arrived from Quezon City on June 25 and is a close contact of Bicol#94 and Bicol#95. He is asymptomatic and quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
• Bicol#142 – a 64-year old Filipino male from Donsol, Sorsogon. He arrived from Parañaque on June 30, 2020. He first experienced symptoms on June 17, 2020. He is admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH). Bicol#142 is a retired business man.
• Bicol#143 – a 26-year old Filipino male from Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon. He is a close contact of Bicol#114. He first experienced symptoms on June 27, 2020. He is admitted at Metro Health Hospital. Bicol#143 is a technician.
• Bicol#144 – a 24-year old Filipino female from Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon. She is a close contact of Bicol#114. She first experienced symptoms on June 28, 2020. She is quarantined. Bicol#144 is a teacher.
• Bicol#145 – a 43-year old Filipino female from Gubat, Sorsogon. She arrived on June 18, 2020 from Quezon City. She is a close contact of Bicol#114. She 1st experienced symptoms on June 29, 2020. She is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#145 is a caregiver.
• Bicol#146 – a 75-year old Filipino female from Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon. She is a close contact of Bicol#114. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU Quarantine Facility. Bicol#146 is a retired teacher.
Appeal to Public
COVID-19 confirmed cases in Bicol Region are increasing. The public especially the Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs), Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases must strictly follow quarantine and isolation procedures. Everyone must follow all the health protocols such as social distancing, using of facemask especially when outdoors, hand washing, cough etiquette, and health lifestyle.
