Mandaluyong City – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on April 21, 2026, turned over rescue equipment, mobility and medical devices, and 200 units of ChariTimba Barangay 114, Zone 10, Caloocan City.
The turnover ceremony, held at the Office of the General Manager in Mandaluyong City, was led by PCSO representative Maria Katrina Nicole Contacto-Ventanilla as part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which aims to provide essential support to barangay-level communities across the country.
Included in the donation were vital rescue equipment, mobility aids for persons with limited movement, and various medical devices designed to enhance community health services. The ChariTimba distribution also reinforced PCSO’s commitment to practical and immediate assistance for local constituents.
Barangay Chairperson Rowena De Guzman personally attended the ceremony and expressed her gratitude to the PCSO Board for approving their request. She emphasized that the donated equipment will play a crucial role in strengthening their barangay’s capacity to respond to emergencies and provide healthcare services.
According to De Guzman, the items will be distributed to residents through a scheduled medical outreach program, ensuring that the assistance reaches those who need it most in a timely and organized manner.
The latest turnover underscored PCSO’s continuing mission to bring government assistance closer to communities, particularly at the barangay level, where access to essential services often begins. Through sustained CSR initiatives, the agency reaffirms its role as a key partner in promoting public health, safety, and welfare nationwide.
