Camarines Sur LGU Receives Medical Equipment Through PCSO’s CSR Program

Barangay Casay in Lupi, Camarines Sur has strengthened its capacity to respond to medical emergencies and disaster situations after receiving a new set of assistive and rescue devices through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

The turnover ceremony was held on March 3, 2026, at the Office of the General Manager in Mandaluyong City. Representing PCSO was Atty. Maria Katrina Nicole Contacto-Ventanilla, who formally handed over the equipment to Barangay Captain Danilo Maceda of Barangay Casay.

The barangay received three pulse oximeters, three thermal scanners, and three blood pressure apparatus units to enhance basic health monitoring services in the community. Five wheelchairs and three oxygen tanks were also included to assist residents requiring mobility support and immediate respiratory aid.

To bolster disaster preparedness, especially during storms and other severe weather, the barangay was also provided with rescue equipment. These include three units each of rescue helmets, rescue ropes, life jackets, handheld radios, search lights, trauma bags, stretchers, and weighing scales. The devices are expected to improve the barangay’s emergency response operations, particularly in times when quick and coordinated action is critical.

Barangay Captain Maceda expressed gratitude for the assistance, noting that the equipment will significantly benefit residents in need of medical attention and strengthen the barangay’s readiness during calamities.

Through its CSR initiatives, the PCSO continues to support local government units and communities nationwide by providing essential medical and rescue equipment, reinforcing grassroots health services, and disaster response capabilities.
