Chinese biz buot mukompra’g durian sa Davao

Davao City – Plano sa Chinese businessmen nga Honjiu Fruits sa Chongqing City, China nga mukuha’g supply sa Durian dinhi sa Davao.

Matud ni Councilor Diosdado Mahipus Jr., usa kini ka maayong balita sa syudad tungod kay dako kini’g tabang sa mga Durian Farmers sa Davao.

“Because right now I think he’s sourcing his durian from Thailand but during the month of September to March the price of durian in Thailand is very expensive, so he was planning to source his durian here in Davao City and he is willing to alocate $1B for that purpose,” segun ni Mahipus.


Girekomendar usab ni Councilor Alberto Ungab, sa gihimong Memorandum of Understanding alang sa Sister City Agreement sa Davao City ug Chongqing City nga sulayan ang mga varieties sa Durian sa syudad.

“They are sourcing a Monthong variety from Thailand and that’s they are asking from us, during the discussion that variety it’s not that prevalent here, we have other varieties here that are available and acceptable in the global market because we cannot also ask our farmers to change varieties just because of a single market,” segun ni Ungab.
