iFM News – Ilocos Norte First District Representative Sandro Marcos, the son of the President, has called for a congressional inquiry into the three-day power outage in Panay Island.
He filed House Resolution 1534 on January 5, urging a House committee to investigate the blackout’s impact on millions of residents and businesses. Marcos aims to reexamine the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ franchise, proposing a review that includes potentially reallocating NGCP’s system operations to a different entity.
This move intends to enable the company, owned by Henry “Big Boy” Sy, Jr. and Roberto Coyiuto Jr., to concentrate on constructing and managing the transmission grid. ### Bernard Ver, RMN News
