Bacolod, Philippines – Binaligtad ng Court of Appeals ang desisyon ng Ombudsman na umaalis sa serbisyo kay Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia at mga deparment heads sa kaso Grave Misconduct and Gross Neglect of Duty dahil sa pagbili ng 50 million pesos na furniture and fixtures para sa Bacolod Government Center.
Sa desisyon ng Court of Appeals, inabswelto nito si Mayor Leonardia, Bids and Awards Committee head Atty. Goldwyn Nifras, City Budget Officer Luz Treyes, Public Services Head Nelson Sedillo Sr, at City Engineers Belly Aguillon, Aladino Agbones at Jaries Encabo.
Samantala, guilty pero ibinaba ng Court of Appeals sa Simple Misconduct ang kaso nina City Accountant Eduardo Ravena at Bids and Awards Secretary Melvin Recabar na may tatlong buwang suspension.
