Sa kaniyang 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA), inutusan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang limang ahensiya ng gobyerno na dapat gawing simple ang pagproseso ng mga dokumento at gumamit ng teknolohiya para bumilis ang kanilang serbisyo.
Pinarating ng Presidente ang kautusan sa Land Transportation Office (LTO), Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Land Registration Authority (LRA), and Pag-IBIG Fund.
“Based on complaints received by the Contact Center [ng] Bayan,– that’s in my office — the LTO, SSS, BIR, LRA, and PAG-IBIG are the top five agencies that need to drastically improve their service,” ani Duterte.
Minanduhan din ni Duterte ang iba pang kagawaran at maging lokal na pamahalaan na simplehan ang kanilang transaksyon.
Nagbitiw rin ito ng babala sa mga sangkot na ahensiya.
“Just like the others, you can do it electronically. You do not have to go to the office. I’ve been asking that from you since three years ago. ‘Pag hindi pa ninyo nagawa ‘yan ngayon, papatayin ko talaga kayo. Nabubwisit na ako.”
“Simplify and make your services responsive to client. Your client is the Filipino, our employer –from where the money in our pockets comes from, from our salaries,” dagdag pa ng Commander-in-Chief.
Magugunitang pinatupad ng Pangulo ang “ease of doing business” sa Pilipinas upang wakasan ang red tape sa gobyerno at mapabilis ang mga isinasagawang transaksyon sa iba’t-ibang departamento at ahensiya.
