As they say, sweet success comes in threes – or three in a row.
Lately, DXDC 621 RMN Davao was accorded a huge victory when it stood on top of the heap, as it were, among all the AM broadcast stations serving the listening audiences of Davao Region or Southern Mindanao when it became the #1 Station in this part of the country in the 3rd Quarter 2017 survey undertaken by Kantar Media Survey, the officially-accredited survey outfit commissioned by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) in order to gauge radio listenership choices and preferences and the reasons why the public have chosen the station that consider their most-preferred outlet for their various informational and related needs.
That particular victory was seconded by the subsequent Kantar Survey for the Fourth Quarter of last year in which we managed to confidently break again from the stiff rank of industry competitors by setting much higher standards of excellence and establishing far more superior benchmarks for the radio industry here in the south.
That twin achievement have validated what we believe to be a hard-earned beach head in the race for airwave dominance and supremacy resulting from an unwavering faith in the relevance of our craft in the lives of ordinary Davaoweños and Mindanaoans alike, our constant burning desire and passion to set the trend by bravely blazing new trails such as the unique challenge post by the advent of the digital platform in whose direction broadcast is definitely proceeding in the future.
Today, this has been proven true one more time when DXDC 621 RMN Davao bested a bevy of 65 radio stations under the wings of the RMN Networks to romp away with the highly-coveted and much-dreamt-about highest honors the company can bestow upon its top performing stations: The very prestigious Henry R. Canoy Excellence Award for 2017 for the Primary Area Category named after the network’s Founding Father, the late Don Henry R. Canoy.
True to form, RMN Davao has been cited for its high-caliber diversified broadcast product offerings that has never stopped searching for more creative and innovative ways to transform the station into a more engaging, more connected, more relevant total media service provider.
On hand to personally hand the award to RMN Davao is Mr. Van Omega, RMN Networks Operations Support Group (OSG) head in behalf of Mr. Enrico Guido Canoy, Vice-President for Operations and the Chairman and President Mr. Eric Canoy.
In response, the recognition was ably received by Ptr. Leobardo Daugdaug, Station Manager who relayed the station’s fervent gratitude to Management for the trust reposed on the initiatives undertaken by Davao’s No. 1 Station and for accepting the greater demand for more excellent work in the days ahead.
To date, RMN Davao’s crown jewel remains to be its Core Programs, namely ‘Unang Radyo Unang Balita’ anchored by Bernard Pantallon, ‘Straight to the Point’ skippered by June Duterte, ‘Serbisyong Straight to the Point’ handled by Misel Miral, ‘Kolokabildo sa Radyo’ with Joel Viray and ‘Kuskos Batikos’ hosted by Erin Lumosbog backed up by the entire News & Public Affairs Team, Digital Newsroom, among others.
It is also renewing its vow to lead the race for more meaningful Cebuano radio dramas and other upgraded programming initiatives in a bid to further cement its lead and thus consolidate its potentials to better serve the wide populace here in the south.
