April 27 is Lapu-Lapu Day! On this day, we remember his bravery and the day when “Battle of Mactan” erupted where Lapu-lapu confronted Ferdinand Magellan.
Proclamation No. 200 recognizes Lapu-lapu’s heroism as a “representation of the Filipino people’s love of freedom and capability to rise above adversity.”
Filipinos do not shy away from challenges. Lapu-lapu represents what true Filipinos are.
Let us celebrate a courageous heart! Let us celebrate Lapu-lapu day!
