Manila, Philippines – Naglabas na ng shortlist ang Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) para sa bakanteng pwesto ng Court of Appeals Presiding Justice.
Nabakante ang nasabing posisyon makaraang mahirang bilang Supreme Court Associate Justice si Dating Court of Appeals Presiding Justice Andres Reyes Jr.
Kasama sa shortlist sina: Acting Court of Appeals Presiding Justice Remedios Salazar-Fernando na nakakuha ng pitong boto.
Pasok din aa listahan si Court of Appeals Justice Romeo Barza na may limang boto, at Court of Appeals Justice Marlene Gonzales-Sison na may apat na boto.
Kasama sa mga bumoto ang bagong miyembro ng JBC na si Supreme Court Retired Justice Jose Mendoza.
Bahagi rin ng JBC sina Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno na tumatayong ex-officio chair; gayundin sina: Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, Senador Richard Gordon, Atty. Jose Mejia, Atty. Milagros Fernan-Cayosa at Retired Judge Toribio Ilao.
