Malampusong napahigayon ang Koro Dabawenyo, usa sa mga activities sa Araw ng Davao karong tuiga. Nabahin kini sa tulo ka kategorya: Elementary, High School ug Community-Based categories.
Ang matag performance gi-judge base sa ilang musicianship (40%), artistry and musicality (30%), choreography (20%) ug overall performance and deportment (10%).
Grand Champion para sa Elementary category ang Ma-a Central Elementary Glee Club Choir, 2nd Place ang Matina Elementary School Children’s Choir ug 3rd Place ang Magallanes Elementary School Children’s Choir.
Para sa High School nga category, Champion ang Bernardo D. Carpio National High School – BDCNHS Harmonic Chorale, 2nd Place ang Dona Carmen Denia National High School Denians Voice Ensemble ug 3rd Place ang Philippine Nikkei Jinkai International School Cantappella. Midawat ug consolation prize ang Davao City National High School DCNHS Singing Teens ug St. Peter’s College of Toril Petrean Chorale.
Ug sa Community-Based Category, Champion ang Brgy. 14-A Koro Dabawenyo, 2nd place ang Brgy. Centro Agdao Choir ug 3rd Place ang Buhangin Proper UBUSCA Chorale Group samtang midawat ug consolation prize ang San Lorenzo Ruiz Calinan Singing Group ug Brgy. V. Hizon Sr. Chorale Group.
Ang mga mananaog sa matag category makadawat ug cash prize ug plaque (1st Prize P20,000.00, 2nd Prize P15,000.00 ug sa 3rd Prize P10,000.00). Samtang ang non-winners makadawat ug tag-P3,000.00 matag-usa.
Napahigayon ang Koro Dabawenyo – Araw ng Davao 2018 Choral Competition sa SM Annex Activity Area kaganihang ala una y media sa hapon.
