Lumagda na ng kasunduan ang Land Bank of the Philippines (Landbank) at STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI-ESGI) para pondohan ang ‘study now, pay later’ program na tutulong sa mga mag-aaral sa usaping pinansiyal.
Ito ay ang 250 milyong pisong Term Loan Re-Discounting Line agreement sa ilalim ng Access to Academic Development to Empower the Masses towards Endless Opportunities (ACADEME) lending program.
Lumahok sa paglagda sina Landbank President and CEO Cecilia Borromeo, STI-ESGI Executive Committee Chairman Dr. Eusebio Tanco at STI-ESGI Chief Executive Officer Monico Jacob.
Kasama rin sa kanila sina STI-ESGI Chief Finance Officer and Treasurer Yolanda Bautista at si Landbank Agricultural and Development Lending Sector Officer-In-Charge Senior Vice President Ma. Celeste Burgos.
Ilan sa mga academic institutions na nag-avail sa Landbank ACADEME lending program ay ang Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines, Inc. (MCNP), International School of Asia and Pacific, Inc. (ISAP), at 80 pa na pribadong institusyon.
Nagsimula ang Landbank ACADEME lending program nitong May 2020, kung saan mayroon nang 3 bilyong pisong alokasyon ang LandBank para dito.
