The 32nd Kadayawan sa Davao officially opened at the Magsaysay Park yesterday. The ceremony started with an ecumenical thanksgiving service for this year’s blessing. The 11 tribes of Davao also showcased their colors and culture through music and dance.
Twelve deputy mayors of each tribe were also present during the opening ceremony along with the eleven Hiyas sa Kadayawan candidates. Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte – Carpio also graced the event.
