1Peter 3:7
In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
Ang pulong ‘honor’ sa hebrew gitawag og ‘kabad’ meaning ‘to give weight’, nga sa ato pa, hataga’g gibug-aton o importansya. Sa greek, gitawag kini og ‘timi’ meaning ‘to value or respect’, buot ipasabot, bililhon ug dapat irespito.
Matud pa sa pulong sa Ginoo, husbands must give honor to their wives, nga sa ato pa, ang mga bana gisugo sa Ginoo nga hatagan niya’g importansya, hataga’g bili ug irespito ang iyang asawa.
If the husband will treat his wife this way, sigurado gayod nga dili ma-hinder ang iyang mga prayers tungod ang pag-ampo sa bana nga naghatag og importansya, nag-value ug nagrespito sa iyang asawa, siguradong dunggon ug tubagon sa Ginoo.
