Mandaluyong City.  On March 17, 2021, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) delivered relief packs to 44 families in Sampaloc, Manila whose homes were razed in a recent fire.  Residents of adjacent  Barangays  574 and 576 fell victims to a fire that destroyed their homes and much of their belongings last March 13, 2021.

It is fortunate that aside from there having no human casualties, the displaced families can turn to PCSO for help.

Together with the PCSO were other government agencies namely, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) and the National Housing Authority (NHA).

The PCSO provided relief packs to the evacuees who were still in good spirits despite losing their material belongings.  Kagawad Fhiel Villafranca, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratefulness for the relief.

“ Maraming salamat ho sa inyo dahil kahit paano hindi na po namin kailangan bumili pa sa tindahan ng mga pangangailangan.  Saka ako ho ay natulungan din ng PCSO nung inoperahan po ako sa puso, kaya maraming salamat po talaga.”
