PCSO, brings assistance to the fire victims in Quezon City and Tondo, Manila

Ms. Dela Umbria while distributing the relief packs to the fire victims in Tondo, Manila.

Mandaluyong City. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) represented by Ms. Roselle S. Dela Umbria of the Corporate Planning Department delivered a total of 27 relief packs to the fire victims in two (2) areas in Metro Manila on March 15, 2021.

The first venue was in Barangay Dioquino Zobel, Quezon City wherein two families who were victims of fire that happened on March 5, 2021 received the relief packs from PCSO. Barangay Chairman Judy Concepcion expressed gratitude for the said relief, “Maraming salamat po sa PCSO, malaking tulong po ito sa mga kabarangay namin na nasunugan. Mabuhay po kayo.”


From Quezon City Ms. Dela Umbria proceeded to Tondo, Manila to distribute relief packs to the 35 families in Barangay 155, Zone 14, District 2, Tondo, Manila whose homes were razed in a recent fire on March 11, 2021. One of the beneficiaries, Joseph Lada thanked PCSO for the relief goods, “Sobrang salamat po sa inyong ipinaabot na tulong, malaking bagay napo ito sa aming pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan at sa  sa mga kabarangay naming biktima ng sunog. Wag po sana kayong magsasawang tumulong sa ating mga kababayang dumadaan sa ganitong sakuna.”

Together with PCSO in the said relief operations were other government agencies namely, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) and the National Housing Authority (NHA).
