Si Presidential daughter at Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio ang siyang pinakamalakas na kandidato sa 2022 presidential elections, ayon kay Senator-elect Imee Marcos.
“Sa akin talaga, strongest presidential candidate for 2022 is Mayor Sara. No ifs or buts about it,” pahayag ni Marcos sa ANC.
Ayon pa sa Senator-Elect, si Duterte-Carpio, tulad ng kanyang amang si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, ay may koneksyon sa mga tao at totoo.
“She has the connection with the people. She has the same authenticity that we love and fell in love with President Duterte for,” ani Marcos.
Sinabi pa rin niya na mabilis si Duterte-Carpio at may “well-developed survival instincts.”
Sang-ayon rin kay Marcos kung tatakbo si Senator Cynthia Villar, na siyang frontrunner sa 2019 Senate race at party-mate sa Nacionalista Party.
“Okay din! The worst thing that can happen is if we have no choices. We have great choices, eh bongga ‘di ba?” dagdag pa niya.
Inilarawan ni Marcos si Villar na masipag, masyadong committed, at kapareho niya ng adbokasiya para sa agrikultura.
Nilinaw niya na hindi pa sumasagi sa kanyang isip na tumakbo bilang Pangulo ng bansa.
