‘I will not resign!’
Kini maoy fighting words nga maisogong gibuhian karon ni impeached Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Sa usaka news conference, hugot gibarugan pag-usab ni Sereno nga dili ug dili gayud siya mo-surrender sanglit dili niya buot tugtan nga matawo ang usaka ‘subservient Supreme Court.’
Matud sa hepe-mahistrado, ang pagpang-harass kaniya makonsidera nga usaka porma sa ‘political adventurism’ diin ang mga mahistrado, huwes ug mga court employees nga nisuporta sa iyang resignation napugos lamang sa pagtuman sa kabubut-on kun pressures sa ‘powers-that-be’ kun kadtong anaa sa poder.
‘I will carry this good, noble fight till the logical ends…these charges merely undermine the Constitution and the judiciary,” panapos pa ni Sereno.
