Davao City- Adunay kapasidad ang dakbayan sa Davao nga mu-host sa mga dagkung aktibidad sa paugnat sa kusog sama sa DAVRAA, Palarong Pambansa ug uban pa.
Gisulti ni Sports Development Division-City Mayor’s Office (SDD-CMO) chief Michael Denton Aportadera adunay kumpletong mga pasilidad ug ekipo ang dakbayan.
“Davao City is more than ready. In fact the DepEd National Technical Inspection Team did not give this to us for no reason at all. They came here and made all of the inspections and we got good grades in terms of the capabilities of hosting,” segun ni Aportadera.
Gikalipay ni Aportadera nga human sa duha ka dekada nakahigayon na gayod ang dakbayan nga mangulo sa mga dagkong katikaran sa matang sa isports.
“I’m very happy that the mayor has set the different vision for sports tourism, she really wants to develop the city towards that direction because that’s what the other countries are doing now, the sports tourism. We’re getting there we’ll start muna from here then eventually we’ll get into more global na engaging events sa sports,” matud ni Aportadera.
Karon nga ang Davao maoy nahimong host mas daku kini nga oportunidad nga makita sa mga silingang probinsya kung unsa kanindot ang dakbayan.
Nagtoo gayod si Aportadera nga kung sa kabahin ni Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio kaya sa lungsod nga mag-montar og mga dagkong aktibidad tuod man mahimo gayod kini.
Dugang ni Aportadera gipangandaman na sa lokal nga panggamhanan ang hosting usab sa Palarong Pambansa.
Matud niini anaa na sa 40-50% na ang completion sa construction sa multibillion sports complex nga nahimutang sa Universty of the Philippines Mindanao (UPMin).
Sulod sa higanteng complex ang 50 meter Olympic-sized swimming pool, football stadium, football field o track oval.
