PCSO Donates Rescue Equipment to Barangays in Tarlac

Mandaluyong City , October 1, 2025 — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continues to strengthen community preparedness and public safety through the turnover of rescue devices and emergency response equipment to two barangays in Tarlac—Barangay Tangkaran and Barangay Santiago.

The turnover ceremony was held at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City, led by the OIC Manager of the Corporate Planning Department Jocelyn Goronio on behalf of PCSO. The devices were received by Chairperson Artemio Rivera for Barangay Tangkaran and Chairperson Allan Lakayanga for Barangay Santiago, Tarlac.

The donated rescue devices include trauma bags, evacuation kits, weighing scales, oxygen tanks, handheld radios, heavy-duty searchlights, rescue helmets, ropes, stretchers, and life jackets—all essential for efficient disaster response, rescue operations, and community safety initiatives.

This assistance forms part of the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which extends beyond health and medical services to support communities in enhancing their disaster resilience and emergency response capabilities.

PCSO’s CSR initiatives complement its broader mission of nation-building through charity and service, ensuring that the agency’s revenues from gaming operations are transformed into tangible support for Filipino communities.
