Dapat mangin handa ang mga Filipino bangod may apat tubtob 5 ka tropical cyclones nga pareho ang kabaskog kay bagyo Ompong ang posible magasulod sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) sa katapusan nga bahin sang tuig suno sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Sa masami, nagalab-ot sa 20 ka tropical cyclones ang nagasulod sa PAR kada tuig suno sa weather bureau.
Ginpahayag ni Esperanza Cayanan, chief sang PAGASA weather division, 4 tubtob 5 ka tropical cyclones ang magasulod sa PAR sa last quarter snag 2018.
“For the past years, we have experienced the strongest typhoons in the last quarter,” ang pahayag ni Cayanan.
“Most of the cyclones in the last quarter are crossing (landmass), landfalling, therefore disastrous.”
