Davao City – Gikumpirma sa Department of Health (DOH) nga nakasulod na sa Davao Region ang duha (2) ka Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) variants.
Subay sa latest whole-genome sequencing (WGS) report, tulo (3) ka Alpha (B.1.1.7) variant cases ug onse (11) ka Beta (B.1.351) variant cases ang nakita sa specimens nga gipadala gikan sa Davao Region.
“Among these variants, nine were transported to UP-PGC last June 3, 2021 (Batch 16) and the remaining five were from the specimens sent last June 10,2021 (Batch 17),” saysay sa gipagulang pamahayag sa (WGS) report.
Duha (2) sa tulo (3) ka Alpha variant cases ang naggikan sa Davao City nga gilangkuban sa 31-anyos nga lalaki nga adunay mild symptoms ug usa ka 19-anyos nga babae nga asymptomatic apan nakarekober na ang duha.
Ang usa ka Alpha variant case naggikan sa Davao del Norte nga usa ka 38-anyos nga lalaki, asymptomatic ug kasamtangang naka-admit sa provincial isolation facility.
Samtang, lima (5) sa onse (11) ka Beta variant cases ang gikan sa Davao City nga gilangkuban sa 24-anyos nga lalaki (asymptomatic), 39-anyos nga lalaki (mild symptoms), 66-anyos nga babae (asymptomatic), 72-anyos nga babae (asymptomatic), ug 64-anyos nga babae (severe symptoms) apan nakarekober na ang tanan.
Naggikan usab sa Davao del Norte ang unom (6) ka Beta variant cases nga gilangkuban sa usa ka 28-anyos nga lalaki (asymptomatic), 20-anyos nga babae ug 22-anyos nga lalaki (mild symptoms) ug ang tulo na-discharge na.
Samtang nagpabiling aktibo ang laing tulo ka kaso sa Beta variant nga gilangkuban sa 40-anyos nga babae (asymptomatic), 84-anyos nga lalaki (moderate symptoms) ug 43-anyos nga babae (mild symptoms) ug kasamtangang naka-admit ang tulo sa provincial isolation facility.
Sa inbestigasyon sa Regional Epidemiology Bureau ug health offices sa concerned Local Government Units (LGUs), tanang pasyente dili Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) ug dili usab related sa usa’g usa.
Padayon karon ang pagsuta kung sila ba na-expose sa mga adunay posibleng travel history ug pagpahigayon og contact tracing.
“The concerned LGUs are currently conducting an extensive contact tracing up to third generation close contacts and thorough investigation of the possible source of these variants. All identified close contacts of the remaining 4 active cases of VOCs (Variant of Concerns) will be prioritized for testing. All first generation close contacts, regardless of a negative result, must undergo a 14-day strict quarantine at a facility,” pamahayag sa DOH.
