Inihayag ni House Infrastructure Committee Co-chairperson at Bicol Saro Rep. Terry Ridon na ang Davao Occidential ang maituturing na sentro ng ghost flood control projects sa Mindanao habang ang Bulacan naman sa Luzon.
Kasabay nito ay isiniwalat ni Ridon sa isang pulong balitaan ang listahan ng mga problematic, incomplete, unconstructed at poorly situated na flood control projects sa Davao City at Davao Occidental mula 2021 hanggang 2025.
Kabilang dito ang mga flood control structures sa malita, Davao Occidental gayundin sa Talomo River, Maa Creek, Davao River, Agdao, Matina River, Bunawan River, Barangay Lasang na pawang nasa Davao City.
Ayon kay Ridon, nakuha niya ang impormasyon sa Department of Public Works and Highways at plano nyang isumite sa Independent Commission for Infrastructure para maimbestigahan.
