ZAMBOANGA CITY– A man was hacked to death by his brother-in-law in Zone 6, barangay Tulungatung last Monday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Roseller Luna, married of Sinunuc. He sustained multiple hack wounds in the body.
The suspect was identified as Arjay Nalda Francisco, 24. He was arrested and was detained at the police station.
A report from the Police Regional Office disclosed that Francisco confronted Luna, who was the husband of his sister, for abandoning his family and had an illicit affair with another woman.
However during their conversation, they figured in a heated argument that led to a bloody affair.
Police said Francisco suddenly drew a bolo and attacked Luna.
The incident was pacified by some residents while others rushed the victim to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the physicians.
Francisco was detained at the Ayala Police Station pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio
