WalangPasokSaBacolod – Classes in ALL LEVELS both public and private schools, and work in all government offices in Bacolod City are suspended tomorrow [Friday, August 3] due to expected heavy rains.
Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, citing Presidential Executive Order No. 66, made this announcement after meeting with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) and DepEd today.
The CDRRMO said PAGASA forecasts more than 90 percent chance of rainfall the whole day tomorrow [Friday].
The CDRRMO reported that just this afternoon, the accumulated rainfall from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. reached 72.8 mm, which is equivalent to 3 to 4 days of rains.
Leonardia does not want the public to get stranded in the floods.
