From L-R: Jerusa A. Corpuz, Division Chief III, Institutional Charity Assistance Division, CAD, Ms. Irma Guemo, Department Manager for STBR, Orlando Malaca, Department Manager ITSD and Mr. Dennis Cruz, Division Chief III, ITSD

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office-Information Technology Services Department (PCSO-ITSD) Manager Orlando Malaca, and ITSD Division Chief III Dennis Cruz turned over to Southern Tagalog and Bicol Region (STBR) Manager Irma Guemo the 10 computers that will be used by PCSO desk in hospitals with Malasakit Center in STBR.

Witnessing the turnover is Institutional Charity Assistance Division (ICAD) Division Chief, Ms. Jerusa A. Corpuz.  The turn over was held at the 3rd Floor Conservatory Building, Sun Plaza in  Mandaluyong City on July 12, 2021.

Antipolo City Hospital System Annex IV was one of the first recipients of the unit to which Rizal Branch Manager Francis Manalad had it immediately delivered and set up after the short ceremony.

PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma went through lengths to facilitate the purchase of said PCs for the PCSO designated employees in the Malasakit Centers, and believes that it would be both beneficial for the hospital and PCSO’s data collection, serving as vessels of data information and act as motivational tools for the end users.

“Ito ay magsisilbing daan na mas epektibong serbisyo at makaka dag-dag ng kontribusyon na hindi na tayo pa kailangan bigyan ng mga ospital na may Malasakit ng ating computers. Isa din itong makakadagdag ng kumpyansa sa mga ipapadala nating empleyado na mag-aasikaso ng mga impormasyon na atin naman kakailanganin kaya naisip ko na gawan ito ng paraan,” the general manager said during a meeting with the Malasakit Technical Working Group (TWG).

Guemo, on the other hand, expressed her excitement in providing the first 10 hospitals in her assigned region as she already made arrangements for the delivery of their computers at Antipolo City Hospital System Annex IV.

For the past three weeks, PCSO has been providing computers to partner hospitals with Malasakit Centers in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Northern and Central Luzon (NCL).

Just last week, PCSO sent 17 units of computers to Pampanga, and  now to the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Region.

Other hospitals that will be getting computer units from PCSO are the Batangas Medical Center, Batangas Provincial Hospital, Laguna Medical Center, Quezon Medical Center, Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital, Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital, Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital, Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital, and Dr. Fernando B. Duran Sr. Memorial Hospital.
