Ibabahagi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang economic performance ng bansa sa mga global leader at top chief executive officers (CEOs) sa pagdalo nito sa World Economic Forum (WEF) sa Davos, Switzerland.
Ayon kay Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Undersecretary Carlos Sorreta, kasama ng pangulo ang kaniyang economic team na binubuo ng government officials at business leaders.
“So the President will be leading our economic team composed of government officials and business leaders and we will present the country’s economic performance which tops growth in the region before an audience of international CEOs,” ani Sorreta.
Sinabi ni Sorreta na ang WEF ang premier forum para sa pagtitipon ng world and business leaders.
Layunin nitong bumuo ng mga ideya at plano upang matugunan ang mga hamon sa global economy.
“The President goes to Davos at a time when our country and our region is recovering well from past challenges, where projections remain high for economic growth in our country and our region,” dagdag ni Sorreta.
Lalahok din ang pangulo sa high-level dialogue kasama ang iba pang lider kabilang ang presidente ng South Africa, Prime Minister ng Belgium, at presidente European Commission.
Nakatakda ding talakayin ni Pangulong Marcos ang isyu kaugnay sa global nutrition sa dayalogo niya sa stakeholders.
Nakatakda din siyang magkaroon ng business meetings at pulong sa Filipino community.
Sinabi ni Undersecretary Sorreta na magtitipon ang mga Pinoy mula Switzerland at iba pang bansa sa Europa.
Ang WEF ngayong taon ay may temang “Cooperation in a Fragmented World.”
