iFM Laoag – Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO) declares 10 local government units (LGUs) as a drug free workplace and schools here.
INPPO Director, Police Colonel Julius Suriben said that this is the first in the Region where Schools are included in the Declaration of Drug Free Communities. The 10 municipalities of the Province who were declared as drug free workplaces are; Municipalities of Carasi, Piddig, Dingras, Pagudpud, Paoay, Currimao, Badoc, Nueva Era, Solsona, and Marcos.
Meanwhile, all PNP Stations and Units in Ilocos Norte were Declared Drug Free Workplaces from January to March 2023. The above efforts is in line with INPPO’s IMPLAN “Pagwadan” – Ensuring and sustaining Drug Free Workplaces and Homes.”
The provincial police also submitted proposed ordinances for Drug Free Workplaces among Government Offices, and Drug Free Business Establishments.
Moreover, the anti-illegal drug campaign is supported by Ilocos Norte Governor and 1st District Representative, Matthew Marcos Manotoc and Sandro Marcos, respectively — as they envision a safer and more secured communities and better, bigger and brighter Ilocos Norte. ### Bernard Ver, RMN News
