*Matud ni Gumapon nga kinahanglan e-verify gayud publiko ngadto sa kapulisan, kasundaluhan ug hingtungdan ahensya kung aduna may nadawat nga mga balita nga dili sigurado.*
*Sigun niini nga pwede makamugna ug pagpanic ang fake news diin gihimo usab sa pipila nga tripping ang paghimo-himo ug balita bisan wala kini kapasikaran aron makapahimulos sa panahon.*
*Gipahayag pa sa regional director nga dili makaayo sa ekonomiya ug panghuna-huna ang fake news nga kasagaran ninii anaa sa online sama sa facebook ug ang uban gipaagi sa text blast.*

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon – The Philippine Information Agency kon PIA Region 10 is now being more inconvenienced because of the spread of fake news regarding the war now ongoing in Marawi.
In an interview by RMN Malaybalay with PIA 10 Regional Director Frank Gumapon, he said that even before the violence in Marawi broke out, fake news is already very rampant.
As per Gumapon, it is really a need for the public to verify with the police, army and other concerned agencies if ever they have stumbled upon a news which they think is fake.
He also stated that spreading of fake news can also create unnecessary panic and chaos wherein people do this just for fun or to take advantage of the situation.
The regional director stated that spreading of fake news will not do us and the economy any good which is mostly can be seen in social media sites such as Facebook while others are spread through text blasts.
