RMN employees, many of whom were also stricken by the typhoon, extended assistance to their respective communities, gathering recipient data and assisting RMN Foundation coordinate the relief efforts. Oplan Tabang was also supported by the Department of Social Works and Development (DSWD) regional staff and the local government units.
Oplan Tabang (Tulong or Help) Disaster Relief and Response Program: “Tabang” is the local Visayan dialect translation of the word “help” or “tulong” in the national Tagalog language. It is a fitting handle for the RMN Foundation’s relief program which provides assistance to those affected by natural or man-made disasters.
