Kasalukuyang ‘overwhelmed’ na ang Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) sa tumataas na kaso ng COVID-19 sa Davao City.
Ayon kay National Task Force against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., nagpasalamat siya kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana matapos magpadala ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ng 25 medical personnel na binubuo ng anim na doktor, anim na nurses, at 13 nursing staff para tumulong sa pagtaas ng kaso sa lungsod.
Si Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega ay bumuo na ng One Hospital Command sa siyudad para matiyak ang efficient referral system.
Itinaas na rin ng pamahalaan ang bed capacity ng SPMC ng 20% para mas marami pang pasyente ang matanggap.
Nagpadala na rin ang gobyerno ng high-flow nasal cannulas, Avigan at iba pang gamot.
