Nagtalaga na ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ng bagong commander ng Western Command (WESCOM) sa katauhan ni Lieutenant General Erickson Gloria na dating AFP Deputy Chief of Staff.
Pinalitan ni Gloria si WESCOM Commander Vice Admiral Rene Medina na nakatakda nang mag-retiro sa May 28, 2020 matapos ang 38 taong pagseserbisyo sa military.
Si Gloria ay dating nagsilbing Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1; Wing Commander, 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing; Deputy Commander, Air Mobility Command; at Deputy Commander, Air Logistics Command at iba pang mga matataas na posisyon sa Philippine Air Force.
Nagsilbi rin si Gloria bilang tactical and rescue pilot at humahawak ng command pilot rating sa Philippine Air Force.
Nabigyan din siya ng award dahil sa pagiging flight commander, test pilot, at instructor pilot ng UH-1H at Bell 205 helicopter.
Samantala, pumalit kay Gloria bilang AFP Deputy Chief of Staff si AFP Inspector General Lt. Gen. Antonio Ramon Lim.
