A Cebu-based lotto winner claimed the ₱288,616,075.00 jackpot prize of the January 3 Grand Lotto 6/55 draw at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Main Office on January 14, 2026.
The winning combination for the draw was 13-42-06-45-24-33, which he selected through a Lucky Pick, a method he has consistently used throughout his 20 years of playing the lotto.
The winner arrived at PCSO accompanied by his grandchild, who helped confirm the authenticity of the winning ticket.
The winner said he initially checked the winning numbers at a lotto outlet. Although the numbers matched, he admitted he was still not convinced that he had won.
To be sure, he asked his grandchild to verify the results online. The grandchild checked the winning numbers on a news outlet online and confirmed that they were an exact match. She shared that she also felt nervous and doubtful at first, needing to check several times before the reality of the win finally set in.
Now retired, the jackpot winner said he plans to invest part of his winnings in a business and save the rest to help secure the future of his grandchildren.
PCSO reminds the public to play responsibly, noting that lotto games are games of chance. Proceeds from PCSO lottery operations continue to support medical assistance programs, health services, and other charitable initiatives for Filipinos nationwide.
To claim prizes, winners must sign the back of the winning ticket, present two valid government-issued IDs, and personally claim their prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
Prizes exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% tax under the TRAIN Law. Jackpot prizes must be claimed within one year from the draw date, as mandated by Republic Act No. 1169; otherwise, unclaimed prizes are forfeited to the PCSO Charity Fund, which supports health and welfare programs nationwide.
The Grand Lotto 6/55 draws are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:00 p.m., and are broadcast live on IBC-13, D8TV, and the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
