Nagpaalala ang Malacañang sa mga pasilidad na nag-aalok ng Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction o RT-PCR swab testing na huwag itaas ang presyo ng test, lalo na kung libre naman nila natanggap ang mga makina at kits.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, hindi dapat ginagawang mahal ang presyo ng RT-PCR test dahil mas mag-aalangan lamang ang mga tao na magpa-test.
Hinimok ni Roque ang publiko na magtungo sa mga sumusunod na institusyon kung nais nilang mag-avail ng abot-kayang testing:
• Philippine Children’s Medical Center (Quezon City)
• National Kidney and Transplant Institute (Quezon City)
• Lung Center of the Philippines (Quezon City)
• Perpetual Help Medical Center (Las Piñas)
Iginiit ni Roque na ang PCR test ay hindi dapat lalagpas sa higit P2,000.

Sa ngayon, nagsumite na ang Department of Health (DOH) sa Office of the President ng rekomendasyon para sa paglalabas ng Executive Order na nagpapataw ng price ceiling sa RT-PCR tests.
