PCSO DONATES FOOD PACKS, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO REGION 6 PROVINCES

Municipality of Tobias Fornier Barangay Captain Teodorico C. Saroca Jr. took a photo opportunity with PCSO GM Royina Marzan Garma and Visayas Department Manager Gloria Ybañez. They were given wheelchairs and food packs during that day.

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Vice Chairperson and General Manager RoyinaMarzan-Garma, along with Visayas Manager Gloria F. Ybañez, distributed relief packs and various medical equipment to local government units (LGUs) in Region 6 at the Gateway Hotel, Iloilo City on Friday, June 25, 2021.

The provinces in Region 6 that received donations wereAklan, Antique, Iloilo, Capiz and Guimaras.

Aside from food packs, PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program also provided basic and medical needs for individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over P2.1M worth CSR goods were distributed by a PCSO Team from the Head Officewho travelled 28 hours via land.

Municipality of Tobias, Antique Vice Mayor FloranteCazenas received 500 food packs containing five kilos of rice, canned goods, one kilo of powdered milk and face masks worth P250,000.00, and 25 wheelchairs worth P197,500.00. Meanwhile, Governor Esteban Contreras accepted 100 units of wheelchair worth P790,000.00. Guimarasprovince, throughDr.CatalinoGallego of Nava Provincial Hospital, received various medical equipment worth P365,000.00 during the turnover ceremony.

Mayor Elmer C. Untalan of San Jose and Mayor Mary Jean N. Te of Libertad personally receive the donations from PCSO GMRoyinaMarzan-Garma during the event.

In her speech, GM Garma assured the public that PCSO is always here to help and provide the needs of Filipinos, especially now that there is a pandemic.

Ditonaminkinukuhaang pang pondo ngaming CSR at mga charitable programs nainyongmaaringmapakinabangan. Hindi po kami kumukuhasa taxpayer’s money ng amingpinangtutulongsatao.
