RMN Networks through RMN Foundation, and Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc., officially sealed their partnership for The Henry R. Canoy Scholarship Program through a face-to-face Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony held last April 27, 2022. Seven (7) qualified students from Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. will be chosen for the scholarship program.
The ceremony was led by Ms. Erika Canoy-Sanchez, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RMN Networks Marketing and Media Ventures, and RMN Foundation’s Board of Trustee. Representatives from Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. as well as the two (2) scholars were also present at the event.
According to Ms. Sanchez, the goal of the program is to financially support the youth, especially the students that will be qualified – for them to be able to achieve their dreams. The Foundation aims to provide an opportunity for the young people who are passionate in doing mechanical, electrical, and electronic skilled-based work.
“Through the Radyo Edukasyon Program, one of the main pillars of the RMN Foundation, we want to ensure na mabibigyan din ng oportunidad ang mga “Kabataan” na ‘to and at the same time they will also be able to give back to the society.” Ms. Sanchez added, during her interview with Radyoman Jenny Pahilanga of Centro Serbisyo at DZXL 558 Radyo Trabaho Program.
Engineer Jerry Webb Muhi, the Executive Director of Dualtech Training Center joined the “on- air” interview to share more about the center and the training they offer. According to him, the center produced more than 13,000 graduates from its forty (40) years of being in the industry. The course they offer is called electromechanics technology where students will be trained at doing electronics, mechanical, and electrical works. He also formally introduced two of the seven scholars they will be selecting for the RMN Foundation’s Henry R. Canoy Scholarship Program.
Last March 2022, the first scholar of the Foundation under the scholarship program was introduced via Centro Serbisyo. Jeffrey “Jeff-jeff” Juyad, a 21-year-old student from Sierra Bullones, Bohol. He expressed his gratitude for both the Foundation and Dualtech Training Center that helped him continue to achieve his education without the worries of expenses. He was also able to be featured and invited once again in a face-to-face interview with Ms. Jenny Pahilanga last April 27. According to him, his parents are also very grateful because of the scholarship grant he received.
Jeffrey personally attended the MOA Signing Ceremony together with his co-scholar, Paolo De Guia Trongcoso. He is a 22-year-old student residing in Canlubang, Laguna. He said that he is also thankful that the Foundation has chosen him to be their scholar. “Mapapagaan po nito ang financial burden ko po. So, hindi ko na po poproblemahin yung about sa tuition ko po kasi nga po RMN Foundation po ang magpoprovide po nito. And makakapagfocus na lang po ako sa pag-aaral ko po.” He said, during the interview. He also expressed his gratitude for Dualtech Training Center that has been guiding him and teaching him about electromechanics.
The two scholars were thrilled to receive their respective phone tablets, according to them, it will be very helpful for their online classes. RMN Foundation and Dualtech Training Center would also like to express their sincerest gratitude to each other as well as to all the people who are supporting this initiative and the other programs they have from their respective organizations.
The Henry R. Canoy Scholarship Program continues with the five (5) more scholars to be introduced in the next succeeding months as part of the RMN Networks 70th Anniversary and RMN Foundation’s 10th years of public service.
