The Surigao Bugsay Marajaw Dragonboat Team has successfully proven themselve as one of the best team along with other 12 competitive teams from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao during the 2nd Kagayhaan Gold Cup Dragonboat Compettion in Cagayan de Oro City last August 11&12,2017. The Bugsay Marajaw Team led by Mr. Johan Jake Miranda got the 2nd place in 500 meters open, 1st place in 200meter open and 2nd placer in 200 meter mixed. This was the first out-of-town competition of Surigao Bugsay Dragonboat Team when it was formed and organized last May 2017, when Surigao City hosted the National Dragonboat Event in barangay Mabua Surigao City.
